Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with pediatric experience and BLS certification for a variable day shift, including on-call duties.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in the Operating Room in a hospital setting with both adult and pediatric patients
• Specialties covered include ENT, general surgery, vascular, endovascular, robotics, dental, GYN, orthopedic, spine, and neurosurgery cases
• 10-hour day shifts with variable start times between 6:30am and 10:30am
• No block scheduling permitted
• Call required and averages 4 times per month, with a mix of evening, overnight, and backup call shifts
• Floating is required and may include floating to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes
• Epic EMR is used
• Perform OR RN duties for diverse surgical services and age groups
• First time travelers may be considered with strong experience
• Orientation starts on a Friday, requiring remote completion and onsite badge pickup
• Travelers are expected to function as core staff within a welcoming team environment
• All schedule and time off requests must be submitted with application; no exceptions after submission
• Working various holidays may be required according to facility needs
• Scrub color or dress code information will be provided during orientation

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active FL or compact RN license with address matching on the BON
• At least 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
• Experience with pediatric OR patients required
• Current BLS certification required; CNOR preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Nursing degree from an accredited program or 5 years of RN experience
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility and not own or cosign on property within this radius
