Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Lead Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer to join a Fortune 5 healthcare organization. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who can design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) while mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of data pipelines and architectures on Google Cloud Platform
• Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT workflows using Google Cloud Platform services
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions
• Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with healthcare regulations
• Optimize performance, reliability, and cost of Google Cloud Platform data platforms
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and code reviews for the engineering team
• Support migration of on-prem or legacy systems to Google Cloud Platform

Required Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in data engineering, with strong leadership experience
• Hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
• Strong experience with BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage
• Proficiency in SQL and Python
• Experience building large-scale, high-performance data pipelines
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Willingness to convert to full-time employment after three months
