License: Valid state or compact license required


Certifications: BLS & ACLS required, NIH preferred


Must-Have:
- Cardiac self-rating of 3 or above
- Basic dysrhythmia training preferred with self-rating of 3 or above
- All units may care for patients with mental health diagnoses


Description:
The position involves working in a medical-surgical/telemetry unit.
Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:5, with a possibility of 1:6-7.
Weekend shifts are required, totaling 3 shifts per 6 weeks.
The nurse may float within their scope to meet facility needs.
No on-call duties are required.
The daily census averages around 24 patients with a diverse range of diagnoses.
Top diagnoses include altered mental status, CHF, stroke, surgical patients, DKA, and infections.
All personnel must comply with a zero-fault attendance policy.
Missed shifts are counted as unexcused and may lead to warnings or cancellation.
Coverage for holidays must be arranged as no time off is approved around major holidays.
The position does not accommodate block scheduling or special scheduling requests.
Candidates are expected to be familiar with EPIC charting.
