Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Roaster to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for coffee, a keen eye for detail, and a strong understanding of the roasting process. This role requires a blend of technical skill and creativity to develop and perfect unique coffee profiles that delight our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain coffee roasting equipment.
• Master existing coffee roast profiles to maintain desired flavor characteristics.
• Develop new coffee roast profiles as needed
• Source, evaluate and contract green coffee beans to ensure quality, consistency.
• Monitor and adjust roasting parameters to maintain product standards.
• Conduct regular cupping sessions to evaluate roast quality.
• Collaborate with the team to create new and innovative coffee products.
• Maintain detailed records of roast profiles and inventory.
• Ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards in the roasting facility.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a coffee roaster, preferably in a boutique or specialty coffee setting.
• In-depth knowledge of coffee beans, roasting techniques, and flavor profiles.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for sustainability and ethical sourcing practices.
• Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
• Physical ability to lift and move coffee bags and equipment as needed.
